Cycling Sunday:

The Giro d'Italia started three weeks ago.  The cyclists have gone up hill and
down dale in the wind and rain for three weeks.  About 40 of the starters have
dropped out over the race, which is perhaps a bit more, but not terribly much
more than usual.  COVID testing has been administered, and two teams, who were
maybe violating pandemic security,  Mitchelton Scott and Jumbo Visma, dropped
out.  Both had several staff members affected and pulled out of the race to
prevent further infection.

In whatever case, the Giro d'Italia concludes today with an individual time
trial.  Normally the race takes place in May, but has been delayed in this 2020
year of chaos.  In any case, it is your last chance to view the pedaling lads
in pink, on this last stage of the Giro d'Italia.

Spain's Grand Tour stage race, the Vuelta a Espana, began last Tuesday, and
continues for two more weeks.  The august tour is reduced this year to 19
stages in place of the customary 22 or 23.  The beginning of this' Vuelta was
considered very difficult, with lots of climbing.  Catch the Stage 6 action
today!

In Formula One Prix news, Lewis Hamilton has won the Portuguese Grand Prix and
has broken Michael Schumacher's record.  The Portuguese edition of the race was
held at Portimao.  In taking his 92 Formula One Victory, Lewis Hamilton has
broke Schumacher's world record of most victories...
