For the initial ksh93-integration putback and update1 we made binary tarballs to help people doing a quick&&painless migration for build machines... I am scratching my head a bit why the same wasn't done for OS/Net's Studio 11 to Studio 12 migration ([1])... ;-/ [1]=Well, I can guess: The official way of patching the compiler product is "cleaner" than giving plain tarballs to "customers" (and allows various ways to track issues quickly via the package system (such as customer support asking whether a customer has applied patch 123459-666 or 123459-667)). ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) roland.mainz at nrubsig.org \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 3992797 (;O/ \/ \O;)
