Just a reminder, I'd still like a sanity check on my proposed changes (below). If I don't get any feedback by Friday (October 17th) I'll proceed with the changes.
mike ------- Forwarded Message Subject: [on-discuss] DevRef: how to suggest/make changes From: Mike Kupfer <[email protected]> To: on-discuss at opensolaris.org Date: Fri, 10 Oct 2008 17:15:28 PDT I'd like a review of my changes for the DevRef table of contents page[1]. The changes reflect the current plans for how we'll evolve the DevRef going forward. Specifically, I've changed the textual title from OpenSolaris Developer's Reference Guide to OpenSolaris ON Developer's Reference Guide and I've changed the first paragraph to read as follows: This document is intended to be a comprehensive document for developers who work on the OS/Net (ON) part of OpenSolaris. Because the DevRef is so big, community participation is important to help keep it useful. One way to help is to suggest changes on the on-discuss mailing list--anything from a vague idea to actual text is welcome. You can also submit bugs against the DevRef on bugs.opensolaris.org (category consolidation/os-net-misc). If you're comfortable with SGML and Mercurial, you can even submit patches to the repository that holds the DevRef sources. The repository is at ssh://anon at opensolaris.org/hg/onnv/devref. You can ask for commit access after you've gotten your changes reviewed on the on-discuss list. As a navigation note, you can get to any of the sections from the left navigation bar in the OS/Net community. thanks, mike Footnotes: [1] http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/devref_toc/ ------- End of Forwarded Message
