introduces Network Auto-Magic (NWAM) Phase 1 into Solaris. There will be a companion integration into the Desktop consolidation which updates the NWAM GUI to support Phase 1. The pre-build-135 GUI will *not* work with NWAM Phase 1. If you do a full update to build 135: you will get both the ON and Desktop components, and will not have a problem. If you just upgrade your ON bits to build 135, and have older Desktop bits: the nwam service and CLI will be fully functional, but you will not be able to use the GUI without doing an additional update. If you wish to install the GUI alone, you can find instructions and pointers to download the bits at: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+nwam/Phase1EA Please refer to the section entitled "Installation of the GUI bits for all Users". This project enhances the profile support of the existing NWAM, and offers incresed customization in those profiles. It also introduces an enhanced GUI and command-line interfaces to view status and create/view/modify network configuration profiles. More details about the project can be found on our project page: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+nwam/ and specifics about Phase 1 can be found in the spec: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+nwam/Phase1Spec Questions should be sent to the project team via our discussion list: nwam-discuss at opensolaris.org. Bugs should be filed under Solaris/network/config
