No, not a sausage. OK, now with my not-so grumpy gk hat on, the issue is that the html in the old pages wasn't something I changed. I really didn't feel like editing 25 separate parent pages and just wanted to get things moving again. In the next week or so, once we've got the IPS move bedded down properly, I should have some spare cycles to actually get in and make the necessary changes so that all the old pages show up correctly.
