we no longer ship the ncrs(7d) driver in OpenSolaris. The ncrs(7d) driver
supported LSI/Symbios parallel SCSI HBAs based on the 53c8xx chip.

This driver was the poor, unmaintained cousin of glm(7d) - and was
only ever available in 32bit mode.

Most HBAs which attached using ncrs(7d) can be attached using glm(7d)
instead. Instructions on how to migrate to glm(7d) can be found in
the public comments field of

The files kernel/drv/ncrs and kernel/drv/ncrs.conf should be removed
from your proto area if you are performing an incremental build.
