Description
I've been seeing the following error/info messages in syslog
on a lot of the more recent builds (128+) of Opensolaris which, on a
fresh install likely indicates a missed dependency. It is resolved with
the installation of the SUNWspnego package. I've also needed to add
SUNWgss on some upgrades as well, but on a new installation, only
SUNWspnego is needed.

Marking this as a dup of
6292398 Default /etc/gss/mech should be empty
ssh knows nothing about the installed mechanisms. The error about a missing
mech_spnego comes from libgss which in turn gets its information from
/etc/gss/mech. This file is delivered statically listing all the gss mechanisms
whether currently installed or not. Remove or comment out the line in
/etc/gss/mech referring to mech_spnego and the error messages will go away.
