Hi,

I've got an IPS related issue and I'd be grateful if anyone could
offer some advice.

My build machine is running build 142, my gate is based on 140 and
the target system is running 138. I do a nightly build and everything appears
to be normal. However, running 'pkg image-update' on the target system
fails to install the new bits. Using the -v option to the image-update
I see dependency related problems such as this:

                incorporate: pkg:/network/[email protected],5.11-0.140
FAIL: no suitable newer version for installed pkg pkg://opensolaris.org/network/[email protected],5.11-0.138:20100429T180420Z Ruled out pkg://on-nightly/network/[email protected],5.11-0.140:20100603T104655Z because: Suitable required dependency pkg:/system/[email protected],5.11-0.142 cannot be found

and looking at the manifest in my repo for network/ipfilter I see
the following depend lines:

depend fmri=pkg:/system/[email protected] type=require variant.opensolaris.zone=global depend fmri=pkg:/system/[email protected] type=require variant.opensolaris.zone=global

So it looks like the process of building the repositories has included
the version of the package installed on my build server.

Any ideas around what's causing this and how I can get something
installed would be greatly welcome.

Thanks.

Jon.
