Dear Manoop

I have one question about portal sdk seed code.

In ONAP Gerrit, there are two repos named portal sdk.

1. http://gerrit.onap.org/r/portal/sdk

2. http://gerrit.onap.org/r/ecompsdkos

According to wiki page description of Portal Platform Project
(https://wiki.onap.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=3247211),

I think we should use repo2 (http://gerrit.onap.org/r/ecompsdkos) to develop
applications portal, right?

Best regards,

Tao

Hi, Manoop

Thanks for your kindly help.

Our developers are trying to use SDK by reference to VID project.

If we need your helps, I'd like to ask some detail questions.

Best regards,

Tao

Hi Tao,

Here is the wiki link to start with, for setting up the Portal’s SDK App:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Developing+Portal+SDK+based+UI+App+and+the+initial+setup

I am CCing our team experts (Robert and Sunder) who can guide you with any
detail questions you may have for building your UI for the use cases.

The Portal platform can on-board any application, it does not need to be
developed based on Portal’s SDK. However, rather than developing an application
from scratch, if you can use the Portal’s SDK, then you can take the advantage
of the features (single sign-on, roles, logging, session management) that comes
out of the box and the UI dev team can focus just on the business case
functionalities. Here is the slide deck showing the advantages (demo shown in
the July developer event):
https://wiki.onap.org/download/attachments/8231717/Portal_SDK_App_Dev.pdf?api=v2

Please let me know, if you are looking for any more details. Thanks.

Regards,

Manoop Talasila

Dear Manoop

As one of the application portal, Usecase UI is trying to begin writing code by
using portal SDK.

But this SDK includes too many tools, technologies, components so that it's
difficult to fully master how to use it.

Could you please provide some document about SDK user guide.

For example what tools and technologies it includes and how to them.

I hope there are some SDK documents that could help developers to finish
application development in limited time.

BTW, must we develop application portals by using portal SDK ?

Best regards,

Tao
