Hello, VMs with xlarge ephemeral storage (flavors m1.xlarge, and m1.xxlarge), will rebuild under normal cluster maintenance. i.e., they do not support live migration when a compute node is taken offline. While we prefer all VMs to use volumes (non-ephemeral) storage for HA reasons in case of a compute node power loss (non-planed), images requiring more than 80GB of storage are highly recommended to use the v1 equivalent flavors & boot from a volume to avoid the rebuild even under planned maintenance.
