Hello Jimmy,

Thanks for the details , that did gave some more information but still the
information on the Host and IP of the VNF was not available as part of the AAI
Call ( I tried the depth 3 and greater than 3 as well) . As part of the VNF
Module Initialization call via SO.

http://{ONAP_MSO}ecomp/mso/infra/serviceInstances/v4/{instance_id}/vnfs/{VNF_ID}vfModules<http://%7bONAP_MSO%7decomp/mso/infra/serviceInstances/v4/%7binstance_id%7d/vnfs/%7bVNF_ID%7dvfModules>

The response for the above call for VNF creation was the instance ID. How can
we get what information updated to AAI as part of the VNF Module creation API
call.

Regards,
Ullas

instantiation on openstack using SO API

Hi, Ullas,

If you want to see objects that are contained by the vnf, I suggest setting the
depth= query parameter. By default depth is set to 0, meaning only fetch the
given object and not objects that it contains.

Example:
https://{ONAP_AAI}/aai/v11/network/generic-vnfs/generic-vnf/b8f1c9ed-a14d-4a32-8f34-a4eefef559e4?depth=3<https://%7bONAP_AAI%7d/aai/v11/network/generic-vnfs/generic-vnf/b8f1c9ed-a14d-4a32-8f34-a4eefef559e4?depth=3>

Thanks,
jimmy

Hello Steve,

Thanks for the response. However, we could not get any details as part of the
get VNF Details call.

PFB the response we got after VNF was successfully instantiated on Openstack.
Is there any other way to check what is updated on AAU as part of the service
instantiation call from SO ?

  1. A&AI should be updated, with the details. Inventory should always be
fetched from there.

Thanks

Subject: [onap-discuss] AAI inventory update after onboarding / instantiation
on openstack using SO API

Hello Team,

We are working on getting the VNF’s on boarded on to Openstack via the ONAP SO
API’s. The VNF was successfully instantiated but when we query AAI using the

https://{ONAP_AAI}/aai/v11/network/generic-vnfs/generic-vnf/{VNF-Instance-id}<https://apac01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__apac01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-253A-252F-252Furldefense.proofpoint.com-252Fv2-252Furl-253Fu-253Dhttps-2D3A-5F-5F-2D257bONAP-2D5FAAI-2D257d-5Faai-5Fv11-5Fnetwork-5Fgeneric-2D2Dvnfs-5Fgeneric-2D2Dvnf-5F-2D257bVNF-2D2DInstance-2D2Did-2D257d-2526d-253DDwMFAg-2526c-253DLFYZ-2Do9-5FHUMeMTSQicvjIg-2526r-253Dshs6nPzThSiGJml9VXN0Eg-2526m-253DF0SEvp0Dy-2Dt6ZP60zsj7TpkDJAFi9wWC0hdV-5FHGVsxA-2526s-253DnfYXEH9HfNA1QTxcNutU9w2Pgsd3QEsHg0FaKrU5vXo-2526e-253D-26data-3D01-257C01-257CUllasKumar-5FY-2540infosys.com-257C0a4c18cd58304662e2ca08d59b01c573-257C63ce7d592f3e42cda8ccbe764cff5eb6-257C1-26sdata-3DF7Z85Xwcq4-252BmdbDhLVIinr3KCMfRSmCvwsvLEufOQhE-253D-26reserved-3D0%26d%3DDwMGaQ%26c%3DLFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg%26r%3DOej6QUk5p2KdqNEWySpOHA%26m%3DOjdOpF1IalmuM8s_vN4v2rk8UZSi86EkhEx0S2WbYsQ%26s%3D08Isq6OGUHUOHv2BLO5PH74GzhYqx6mBmIn1pWhHvwY%26e%3D&data=01%7C01%7CUllasKumar_Y%40infosys.com%7Cf72a8af3057e448535a108d59b0eb5e8%7C63ce7d592f3e42cda8ccbe764cff5eb6%7C1&sdata=U1uCtHjvPnmKlIZm3niooaqxCEHubcKV5Soir0NO0uw%3D&reserved=0>,
the response is very basic and does not provide any information related to
hosts, IP allocated etc.

So few questions on this:

  1. Does AAI gets updated with VNF host details once VNF Module is created
via SO API’s ?
  2. If AAI is not implicitly updated via the SO API Instantiation journey. Is
there any way to force it or update the data .

Regards,
Ullas
