Hi Michael,
I tried curl and the connection times out. Here is the console op
root@rancher:/home/ubuntu# kubectl -n onap get services|grep "9517"
aai-sparky-be NodePort 10.43.76.166 <none>
9517:30220/TCP
2h
root@rancher:/home/ubuntu# curl
http://10.43.76.166:9517/services/aai/webapp/index.html
curl: (7) Failed to connect to 10.43.76.166 port 9517: Connection timed out
The first command shows the service and IP.
And then I run a curl on the IP that service provided me.
Regards
Arul

Arul,
I don’t know the url off hand for sparky if there is a path after the
nodeport, do you get content if you curl 9517 directly when in the docker?
Did a search on the wiki and found an old page of mine - The last time I dealt
with sparky I put up a link on
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Verifying+your+ONAP+Deployment#VerifyingyourONAPDeployment-ONAPGUIs
When you get it working can you update the page – as the community will
benefit.
Example of old link (Heat days)
http://146.20.65.5:9517/services/aai/webapp/index.html#/viewInspect
I assigned the following to you
https://jira.onap.org/browse/OOM-347
None yet in

Subject: RE: Need info about a OOM task
Hi Guys,
I was able to make the change to nodeport and I can see that in service sparky
has been assigned the new port
kubectl -n onap get services|grep "9517"
aai-sparky-be NodePort 10.43.76.166 <none>
9517:30220/TCP
8m
But I could open the UI using the port. Is there any other extra steps that are
needed?

Yes I would like to, I have not worked with k8 or OOM and want to get my feet
wet ☺
Mike did show me around the code a bit. And showed me the nodeports and its
prefixes.

Are you willing to add the nodeport?

I had a chat with Mike yesterday and figured out that AAI-UI does not have a
node port exposed. So I think that explains it.
Thanks a lot for your help guys ☺

Hi Roger,
Thanks for pointing me to the page and the fact that the task was intended for
amesterdam.
I am using the ONAP windriver lab for my testing.
When I try to lauch sparky-ui(AAI-UI) from the portal app, I see nothing and
when I look into the console message I see that port number is missing in the
app url
App URL:
http://aai.api.sparky.simpledemo.onap.org:<<http://aai.api.sparky.simpledemo.onap.org:%3c>
port number is supposed to be
here>/services/aai/webapp/index.html?cc=1528835305262#/viewInspect. The
application URL you are trying to open is not HTTPS. We recommend to use
secured HTTPS URL while on-boarding the application.
c00773ae.app.js:8:16358<http://portal.api.simpledemo.onap.org:8989/ONAPPORTAL/app/c00773ae.app.js>
auditLog::auditLog: auditLog.ping() = [object Object]
Is there anything that needs to be added to configure the port? Or is it
something that needs to be taken care by portal?
I tried adding the port number manually and open it in a new browser tab, still
I get the same error

Hi Arul,
You should be able to access it as described in:
http://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/oom.git/docs/oom_user_guide.html#accessing-the-onap-portal-using-oom-and-a-kubernetes-cluster
with the following end-point: app_rest_endpoint =
'http://aai-sparky-be.{{.Release.Namespace}}:9517/api/v2'
Is there a problem that you know of?
Cheers,
Roger
P.S. OOM-347 should be closed as it applies to Amsterdam.

Hi Guys,
I am looking for some information on a OOM task
https://jira.onap.org/browse/OOM-347
Do you know who can provide an update on that. Also does this task mean that
sparky is not working with OOM on Beijing release?
