Hi Catherine, This case was raised as https://jira.onap.org/browse/TSC-80 after the AAI team had discussions with the CIA team about optimizing the docker base images late last year.
It should probably be discussed and decided at a higher level, so I would like to submit it for addition to the TSC agenda. However, due to timezone and timing of the DDF event, I probably would not be able to attend the TSC meeting, so hopefully the linked JIRA cases and wiki pages will be enough to provide context for the discussion. One thing to note especially is that the "aai-common" docker image is not the same thing as the "aai-common" git repo, which is what tripped up the discussion initially.
