Hello, As you may already know, we are urged to transition from NESC to vLab. Resource consumption policy in vLab is slightly trickier than it used to be in NESC, everyone's advised to release resources as soon as possible to optimize costs and avoid resource exhaustion. Maximum period for booking the resources is 3 months and once they are released all the related data is gone. However from what I understand, those who have long-lasting PoC-like use cases will be able to extend the booking via tickets. If that's not the case, we will have to re-book the resources after this period and redo the whole process from scratch. Perhaps this will be even better for keeping us up to date with ONAP releases.
Konrad is interested in participating in ONAP installation process, so you are welcome too. Plan is first to acquire resources in vLab and then proceed with setup in OpenStack. We may have some differences in terms of available VM flavours or floating IPs, etc. in OS, we will need to address them as well. We are given ~2 weeks for transitioning, but I think it's up to us as we're not using existing ONAP, so we can release it even now. Next week I'll try to submit the request to vLab and let you know once we are ready to proceed. Kind regards, Beka -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
