Hi Adolfo, In Integration lab env, ONAP containers are deployed and running inside VMs and those VMs use ubuntu-1604-cloud-amd64 image. We use OOM to deploy whatever ONAP container images pulled from Nexus repo, and we don’t tell whether an image is based on Alpine, Ubuntu or something else.
Image build is done by ONAP projects, Integration team just uses whatever images provided by project teams. The container image files are specified by project team in docker-manifies.csv and OOM charts. Is it safe to assume that you are running containers on Linux during testing? There are containers using CentOS as a base image. About 25% of Dockerfiles in the ONAP code base are already using Alpine as a base image. Have you been testing those containers differently? Could you clarify if or how integration testing accounts for current containers built using different base images?
