CCSDK users, The current CCSDK Dublin release is based on OpenDaylight Fluorine SR1 (SR = Service Release). The second service release (SR2) of Fluorine is available and contains fixes that we need, including security vulnerability remediation and fixes to netconf/TLS. Therefore, we need to upgrade CCSDK to Fluorine SR2.
While this should in principle be a bug fix release only and should be backwards compatible, we have seen cases when a new service release has introduced changes that can break existing code (e.g. Nitrogen SR3 included a major upgrade to the version of the Java servlet API that broke existing code using javax.servlet). Therefore, to prevent this upgrade from breaking existing client code, we will be creating a release version of our current SR1-based CCSDK code, and then rolling to a new snapshot for SR2. I’ll send a followup email with details of what clients need to do after this change. However, I wanted to give the team a heads-up that this change is coming and why. Please note that we deliberately delayed this change until AFTER the M3 milestone vote to avoid any risk of breaking builds just before the milestone vote.
