CCSDK team, I wanted to share some project updates:
1. The Alpine-based CCSDK OpenDaylight Fluorine container is now stable and running the Fluorine SR2 release. There were some issues earlier this week that have now been fixed. The Ubuntu-based container still has issues that I’m investigating , where in my local environment at least it’s hanging on startup and then crashing with an OutOfMemoryError due to heap size. We’re not using this container in our helm charts at the moment, but I would like to see this resolved prior to M4 so that we have a viable fallback if we run into issues with Alpine again. 2. The TSC voted to extend M4 for Dublin by a week. So, you now have until next Friday , 4/5, to submit code reviews for inclusion in the Dublin release so that we can be ready for the TSC vote on 4/11. 3. Around 4/5 – 4/11, I expect to create ‘dublin’ branches in gerrit so that the master branch can be available to receive contributions that missed the M4 code freeze cut off. Those contributions would then be included in the El Alto release, and also be available sooner for those intrepid souls willing to use pre-release versions. For those of you who plan to attend the ONS conference next week, I’ll look forward to seeing you in person there. I have an ‘unconference’ session scheduled Weds morning for anyone interested in ONAP/OpenDaylight integration. We will not have a CCSDK project call next week since I’ll be travelling back from ONS at that time.
