If I recall correctly, Shutdown VM does not release resources. The VMs should
be either deleted or shelved to release resource for your purpose. Given the
complexity/risk of shelve/un-shelve, it is better to delete them .

Subject: [onap-discuss] Please shutdown ONAP VMs and VNFs in Integration lab by
Noon PDT today

Dear all,

Intel/Windriver Integration lab is running into severe resource over usage
issue, as the result Integration team can not deploy and verify ONAP Dublin
release. As discussed in today's PTL meeting, we need to take immediate action
today to release lab resource. Please shutdown your ONAP VMs (cluster VMs and
VNFs) in all dev project tenants before Noon PDT today. Please note just
shutdown, no need to remove VMs so you can bring them up later this week after
we are done with release testing.

After Noon PDT today, lab admin will shutdown your ONAP VMs if needed. Thanks
for your understanding and support.

Regards,
-Yang
