We hope the nighlty run will confirm it.
The last change was the use of the environnement.yaml file setting specific
timers.
In fact there is probably some races conditions when trying to install
everything at once (which became very big and resource demanding)
The consequences are strange behaviors, with different transient non
reproducible errors.
The pods usually claim to be running but some drivers are not loaded, some
tables are not created, some init are not finalized...
It is very hard to troubleshoot.
with the timers tuned by the integration team on the integration labs, it
sounds much stable.
A reflexion on the installaton is probably needed for future release.
On our side we used to install incrementally ONAP using 4 steps
- core (6): A&AI, DMAAP Message Router, Portal, SDC, SDNC, SO
- small (9): core + AAF, APPC, CLI, External API, Log, MultiCloud, VID
- medium (14): small + CLAMP, DCAE, Holmes, OOF, Policy, UseCase UI
- full (61): all the components (VFC + all VFC drivers, VNFSDK, Modeling,
Pomba, Multicloud drivers, Dmaap Bus controller, ...)
this fragmented installation was also pretty stable (only default timers were
used, no extra tuning neeeded)
Finally, as mentioned during the PTL meeting, we are still OK to help on
setting up gating on public cloud to improve public CI and eventually extend it
to critical component such as SO (one of the goal of El Alto).
We need the credentials to public kubernetes before Thursday (the discussion
was initiated before the DDF).
If not possible, it will reduce significantly the chance to see this feature
for El Alto release (Early date beginning of August for El Alto).
