Securing the topics using the API Keys is not recommended. Message Router has the API keys related API’s only to support the topics that are not yet migrated to the authenticated topics( auth/authz using AAF). You can leverage the DMaaP Bus Controller application to provision the topics and the AAF permissions by adding a json file to BusController configuration.
