Hi, DCAEMOD provides platform for onboarding DCAE MS/component, however the VES agent falls under xNF scope. The agent is provided as library under VNFSDK project for xNF owner for easier VES integration. There are few instrumentation under integration “demo” project using this library which you can check.
#1 – The datamodel of VES is defined by VES specification (https://docs.onap.org/en/elalto/submodules/vnfrqts/requirements.git/docs/Chapter8/ves7_1spec.html). There are multiple domain supported under VES, you can have xNF configured to send any type of alert. As long the resultant data is complaint to VES schema, the collector in DCAE can process/forward it. #2 – We don’t have prometheus integration within DCAE currently. We could certainly look into adding this in future release if there is sponsor/support in the community. However, I haven't found any documentation on deploying the VES agent. Is there a document I can refer to? And I have two questions. 1) I want to know what metrics the VES collector can collect. Are there related materials? Also, I'm wondering if the type of metric that can be collected is static. Can I customize the metric? 2) Is it not possible to integrate metric collection through Prometheus in DCAE? I wonder if there are any plans.
