Won,
VES as a data-model is agnostic to CNF/VNF/PNF. There are usecases being
worked for Guilin CNF support, the assumption currently is CNF’s being
onboarded will support VES flow hence existing VESCollector can support them.
However we are also exploring other tools integration in DCAE for CNF
monitoring/collection. If you are interested, would welcome to join the DCAE
weekly meeting for further discussion.

Reg #2 – Not all VES events are persisted by default (they are available in
collector logs and DMAAP). However depending on flow and MS involved – subset
of VES data are persisted (across different stores) for application processing
(for e.g TCAgen2 uses mongo, Heartbeat in postgres DB).
We also have Datalake-handlers components which can be configured to listen
feeds from DMaaP topics and push into external big-data storage (note that the
common store itself is not part of ONAP architecture).

Regards,
Vijay.

Subject: [onap-discuss] [DCAE] VES support CNF? and are all received event data
from VES stored in DCAE db?

Hi DCAE team and community,

I have a question while testing DCAE.

1) Does VES also support CNF event collection in K8S or StarlingX VIM
environments supported by multi-cloud projects?

2) What stream data is stored and where is it stored? I don't know if all the
data is stored in DB or where it is defined by the rules that specify the data
to be saved.
And there are various DB and PV in ONAP like mariadb mongodb, so I want to know
where they are stored.

Regards,
Won
