So that is good kinda (worrisome that it didn’t work before without the 
schemaless setting – I would have thought that the default is false)

Hi Brian,

You are right, if you turn on schemaless option to true, the 
netconf-node-topology:connection status will show connected but from 
application level I couldn't perform any query as the yang models were not 
downloaded to cache/schema after the handshake.

Now after I turned off this option, and tried one more time. the gNB got 
mounted and all capabilities are retrieved. And I'm able to perform some get 
config API request from SDNC ODL Restconf API doc.
