I have observed this as well. I believe the problem is that for each
release, Helm creates a configMap to keep data that Helm needs to manage
the release. For some of the component releases, the data exceeds the
size allowed in a configMap. (If you look at the logs for the Tiller
pod in your k8s cluster, you'll see error messages about this.)
There is a Jira issue for this: OOM-2534.
