Hi Stephen thanks for the answer. I think we can definitely move to an hybrid config we are using Azure AKS for some deployments, so dealing with native k8s workers look fine. It is in line with being more cloud ready. we however still need openstack for the VNFs we deploy from ONAP. At the moment there are still scenario with Openstack but more on more scenarios are dealing with CNF. so we could start with a 60/40 distribution of the workers for k8s/Openstack
Agree to re-create only 2020 active accounts. There are currently 605 accounts. Most of them will not be re-created. Let's wait for your feedback for the timing. We have moved to a Kubernetes native model where running OpenStack as a containerized application is an option per compute node. In this case, we would need to designate worker nodes as either OpenStack or K8s. Would you envision that some of the worker nodes would be native K8s? Or would we still run all of the nodes as OpenStack? I would suggest that we only re-create the accounts that have logged on in 2020 – anyone who has not logged on for more than 1 year I’ll plan on leaving off, they can send me an email if they attempt to log back on. For bringing in all of the nodes, I need to discuss this with Intel. There is some re-wiring needed. If this was 2019 I’d fly to the Intel datacenter and do this with Lab Ops. But at the moment I don’t see that happing in Q1 2019. Let me talk with Yipan and we will get back with you. As far as how much time it will take, I most likely will want to do this over a weekend.
