Hi, I would like to ask the community if they are still using actively the robot pod. In fact we do not use it in CI/CD (we use jobs consuming xtesting images which are lighter than the legacy image) this image is mainly used for testing but the pod is deployed as part of the ONAP cluster (same ns) it is based on an old ubuntu distro, run as root without limits, hosting robot and an nginx server .. A refactoring has been planned since frankfurt and D.Rose started working on it in order to fix most of the issues and follow microservices best practices. Unfortunately it was not fully finalized. As we do not really use it, we always found higher priority issues to deal with... but I think it is now time to take a decision: remove or upgrade.
That is why I would like to get the view of the community. I fear that some use cases based on robot could be impacted if we remove this pod. We may transfer some of them within the xtesting dockers but I am not 100% sure.
