All,

As discussed in the ONAP TSC Meeting earlier this week (on the 1st September),
I would like to inform the ONAP project of upcoming maintenance on the Jenkins
server.

The work is proposed, detailed, and will be tracked under the ticket:

RELENG-4384
ONAP: Terminate Jenkins ActiveMQ Connection
https://jira.linuxfoundation.org/projects/RELENG/issues/RELENG-4384?filter=allopenissues

The current schedule is that the server will be taken temporarily offline for
an hour in the window:

7th September at 12:00 (midday) UTC - 13:00 UTC

During this time Jenkins will be put into shutdown mode and we will wait for
running jobs/pipelines to complete. The JMS plug-in will then be reconfigured
and disabled, and if necessary, Jenkins will be restarted. To minimise
disruption, any running pipelines that took too long to complete (and had to be
interrupted) will be manually triggered once the server is back online and
running again.

This work is necessary due to an ActiveMQ connection to an external server that
is no longer working, which is filling the log files with failed connection
attempts.

If any members of the project community need further details, or would like to
discuss the impact of this work/schedule, please feel free to contact me
directly.

Thanks in advance,

- Matt
