In the process we found a problem related to SDC. The SDC in the Kohn 1.11.9 release has an issue related to authentication. The front end and back end of SDC do not work well together. Basically, the backend process works on the assumption that the user ID is in plain text. However, the front end encrypts the user ID and stores it in a cookie. This occurs because it is not decrypted correctly when linked. Caused by a specific commit made in the Jakarta release. It is possible to browse and add services even with improper user IDs that are not decoded. However, when adding a service, the backend rewrites the user ID to the correct ID in an internal process and stores it in the DB. Any attempt to change the new property will result in an error that the user is not an appropriate user. I was able to resolve this issue by reverting the commit.
