TSC Members,

I have identified what appears to be a simple copy/paste error in the original
June 26th call for nominations for the Usecase Subcommittee Chair position that
puts the current election in question.

Original notice:
https://lists.onap.org/pipermail/onap-discuss/2017-June/001894.html
<https://lists.onap.org/pipermail/onap-discuss/2017-June/001894.html>
The text in question reads, "Any member of the Open Lab Subcommittee may run
for this position”, rather than saying “Any member of the Usecase
Subcommittee…"

The net results is that the candidates on the ballot failed to meet this
nomination requirement as it is written.

This issue was not discovered until after the nomination phase was closed and
the election phase was in progress. Voting in this election is scheduled to
close at 8AM Pacific on July 5th.

I see three logical actions the TSC could take in this situation, but perhaps
there are others:

- Accept the clerical error and uphold the results of the election
- Reopen the nomination and election process with a shortened time line
- Repoen the nomination and election process with the typical time line (~8-10
business days)

I will withhold the results of the election pending a decision on how to
proceed coming out of Thursday's TSC meeting .

Best Regards,
-kenny
