Prior to the alignment of ONAP under the LFN there was a Board level IP & Legal Subcommittee in place to review and make recommendations on any licensing exceptions. This subcommittee contained several Board Members and their corporate legal counsel. A similar subcommittee must now be established for ONAP Project a Series of LF Projects, LLC in advance of our upcoming release. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR SUBCOMMITTEE APPROVAL – THIS IS INFORMATIONAL ONLY TO SOLICIT PERSPECTIVE MEMBERS The formal request for subcommittee creation will be submitted as per Section 4.4.3 of the ONAP Technical Community Document. • Subcommittee name: IP & Legal Subcommittee • Subcommittee purpose: To facilitate in depth review and discussion of any Intellectual Property (IP) or other legal issues relevant to the ONAP Project • Subcommittee expected deliverables: Providing the TSC with their opinion/analysis of relevant subject matter Conducting regular reviews of IP or legal issues in advance of any ONAP release Ad hoc reviews of IP or legal issues when situations may warrant • Subcommittee duration: This would be a standing subcommittee • Subcommittee membership: Membership in this subcommittee is open. Company representation shall be capped at two (2) members per company, typically one of which is legal counsel. This limitation is compliant with Section 4.4.1.1 of the ONAP Technical Community Document. A list of initial participants which is a prerequisite for proposal submission to the TSC. I have already reached out to TSC Members from companies which participated in the former subcommittee. If others are interested in participating on the IP & Legal Subcommittee, please respond to Kenny Paul [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the appropriate names and email addresses by 6 AM pacific time Tuesday, May 9. A first meeting ideally would occur on Monday, May 14.
