Hello ONAP TSC Members: The vote on how to populate the ONAP TSC going forward was concluded yesterday evening.
16 of the 19 TSC members voted. The results of the vote were: Option #1 - "Ranked Vote With 9 Operators Assured" received 10 votes Option #2 - "Appoint LFN Platinum Members" received 6 votes. As was documented on the TSC mailing list on June 25th, the full description of Option #1 is: ==== #1 - Ranked Vote With 9 Operators Assured. - TSC Size: 18 - Allowed to run: Active Contributors - Allowed to vote: Active Contributors - At least one person from each of the 9 Operators must run [If an Operator doesn’t have any eligible candidates, then they can appoint a person to run] - One big ranked vote will be conducted via CIVS - Top ranked operators are identified (9 spots - one per operator company) - Remaining 9 positions taken by top ranking individuals - one per company *Active Contributor/Active Community Member* -anyone with twenty (20) or more measurable contributions during the previous 12-month period, inclusive of code merged, code reviews performed, wiki page edits, or JIRA activities *Operators *= AT&T, Bell, CMCC, China Telecom, Orange, Reliance Jio, Turk Telecom, Verizon, Vodafone – AKA the 9 Platinum Service Providers participating in ONAP at the beginning of 2018 ==== Thanks to all the TSC members who voted. With this method of future TSC population decided, I will now work with the LF legal team to create an altered version of the ONAP Technical Charter that incorporates this new method. Once that is complete, we will vote as a TSC to accept the revised Charter language. The output of the CIVS voting system is below for your reference.
