The findings of the work can be found here: https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Secure+Communication+to+Network+Functions, where you should look for "VNF Activation with Automatic Initial Certificate Enrollment and Role Assignment and it is version 18 dated Aug 29, 2018.". The status of this work is that it considered complete from the team looking at it, and it has started be presented to the security sub-committee this week (yesterday), with the idea to allow study time until next week where we will conclude on whether we are ready to "recommend" the work from the security sub-committee perspective. The intention with this email was to provide an early indication of this and that it has proposed requirements for Dublin (expectations on Casablanca have already been worked in) and the opportunity to comment in case you see improvements required. @chris, @alla, I believe that you are aware of the work, and now we need to consider what needs to be brought into ONAP-ARCH and ONAP-UC. I would suggest a presentation to the 5G UC subworking group; and a summary of impacts and motivations to Arch; however maybe that could be combined with all the 5G UC work. BR, Steve.
