Jim,

There are several cases where it still makes sense for there to be open Dublin
tickets:

  1. Some tickets are being used to track test cases.
  2. Some tickets are associated with release activities, like creating
release artifacts and rolling snapshot versions.

On my projects, we’ve been creating those types of Jira as “tasks” (as opposed
to stories or defects), so as not to confuse them with actual code
deliverables. Maybe it’d be helpful if we also added a label to these types of
tickets so you’d know those are not cause for concern?

Subject: [onap-tsc] URGENT: open jira tickets in Dublin

Dublinites,
Cursory screening of the RC0 checklist suggest the very first item is being
misinterpreted. The item reads:

Product Management: Are all tasks associated with the release been marked as
"Closed" in Jira?

What this really means is all tickets associated with Dublin Release need to be
resolved... moved to El-Alto/Frankfurt, closed or somehow resolved. The reason
this is important is product management and docs use the jira tickets
associated with the Dublin release to determine what has been worked on...
Obviously there will be a few defects still open but MOST Epics, Stories,
Tasks, Sub-tasks should be closed (or relating to the release process).

I put together a wiki page to show the magnitude of the
problem<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__wiki.onap.org_display_-7Emtnskiier_Dublin-2BOpen-2BDefects&d=DwMFaQ&c=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg&r=qLcfee4a2vOwYSub0bljcQ&m=7XpPB-t6lRCb5pv7dPRVUHqc3K_gYVSF8UPJvI8GMRY&s=O5e1lZFExNDVgMEBgErhsehwH-NlkfKTEUFT-m3c2aY&e=>
(currently 739 OPEN Dublin tickets) - please get this resolved so we can
complete this milestone! Please also check for "In Process" or "Reopened"
tickets...

Let me know if you have any questions.
