I am writing to announce the intention of running for TSC Vice-Chair. Although our company is called China Mobile, but as well as running the largest mobile network in the world, in fact, we are also the top of rank full-service service provider in China. In this era of cross-industry technology convergence for business digitalization, it is our firm belief that building industry-recognized model-driven open platform and related standards is a solid foundation for the automation and intelligent evolution of our future network and its business ecosystem. However, as it always has been, it will be a challenging industrial transformation mission to carry out for introducing such profound technological innovation in the traditional telecommunications system, especially for network operation and maintenance section. The operator-led open source community will be an important stage for us to work together with partners to join hands in driving the industry moving forward together, and our team is very proud to have been being an active participant and ecosystem contributor to the community committed to that same vision. In the early stage, our focus was more on NFV, SDN and cross-domain end-to-end demonstration application research and development, commercial product integration testing, and code maturity improvement of related public modules. With the launch of new network business applications and testing, we will gradually expand our focus to include automated testing, commercial software certification, and more. China Mobile is increasing its investment in LFN / ONAP and is willing to continue to contribute as an important position to promote the integration of open source and standards in the industry to embrace and unleash the power of 5G and AI. I am grateful that being part of an open community for years has taught me to remain curious and open, and I look forward to continue the journey with our fellow travelers around the globe. We will do a much better job this year. With the global set of holiday’s now completely behind us, it is time to get the TSC Vice-Chair election taken care of. Per last year’s agreement (https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/TSC+2018-09-13) the Chair and Vice-Chair elections for the TSC will be conducted as sequential election events. The nomination period will end on Tuesday, Feb. 11 @ 17:00 Pacific -------------- Who is eligible to Run: TSC Members Who is eligible to Vote: TSC Members Process: Self Nomination Phase Individuals interested in running for the TSC Chair position must reply-all to this email with your intention to run.
