We too have the dependency on esr-server for E2E Network Slicing use case in
order to register the external NSSMFs with ONAP. The IP and port details of the
external simulators are registered in AAI/ESR, later it will be used by the
NSSMF adapter to connect with these simulators. We do require support for the
below services for Network Slicing use case.
APIs used:
1. PUT
/external-system/esr-thirdparty-sdnc-list/esr-thirdparty-sdnc/{thirdparty-sdnc-id}
2. PUT
/external-system/esr-thirdparty-sdnc-list/esr-thirdparty-sdnc/{thirdparty-sdnc-id}/esr-system-info-list/esr-system-info/{esr-system-info-id}

Is it correct, that the feature you would require, would be the ESR feature of
VNFM creation and registration ?

Would it help, if in the PythonSDK the feature of VNFM/EMS registration would
be added?
Then a script could be used to perform the registration...

My apologies for not paying attention to this email thread earlier. The CCVPN
use-case depends on the esr-gui and esr-server micro-service (in order to
register the 3rd party domain controllers to ONAP).
We have not found an alternative to avoid using these two services. (The
controller registration via esr-gui triggers AAI to generate a DMAAP
notification which is sent to SDNC, which then starts the topology discovery
process. We do not find an alternative to replace this call flow.) Therefore,
can we still keep these two services in the production?

Recently I have been asked about ESR-GUI & ESR-Server and its status on being
included in the oom deployment. We (A&AI) have not supported those two services
since El Alto (moved into maintenance/read-only in Guilin). Does anyone know if
there is a reason these services are still included in the release? Should we
get them removed?
