Subject: LF: Eu LORAN lines near 137700
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Dear Dexter and Group,
there are five relevant LORAN C chains in Europe. Their spectral
lines are at multiples of 100000 Hz / 2 / GRI; here is a list of
frequencies between 137680 and 137720 Hz. The lines which look
prominent in Hartmut's shot are indicated by an asterisk, but the
relative amplitudes vary a lot with the location of the receiver and
changing skywave propagation.
GRI 6731 (Lessay, Soustons, Rugby, Sylt):
683.8508*, 691.2791, 698.7074*, 706.1357*, 713.5640
GRI 7499 (Sylt, Lessay, Vaerlandet):
685.0247*, 691.6923, 698.3599*, 705.0275*, 711.6951*, 718.3627
GRI 9007 (Ejde, Jan Mayen, Bo, Vaerlandet):
681.8031, 687.3543, 692.9055, 698.4567, 704.0079, 709.5591, 715.1103
GRI 7001 (Bo, Jan Mayen, Berlevag):
680.3314, 687.4732, 694.6150, 701.7568, 708.8986, 716.0404
GRI 8000 (Bryansk, Petrozavodsk, Slonim, Simferopol, Syzran Karachev):
681.25, 687.5, 693.75, 700.00, 706.25, 712.5, 718.75
The Sylt station (and probably the 7499 chain with it) was announced
to close down tomorrow, Feb. 15, but the shutdown had been postponed
two times already.
73 and best wishes
Markus, DF6NM
