Weather:
Mostly sunny with light southwesterly winds to start. A lake breeze kicked
in and we moved to the South Lookout at 9:30am EST. A moderate
northwesterly wind continued the rest of the day with skies becoming mostly
cloudy.
Raptor Observations:
The sun and light southerly winds got a decent flight of Turkey Vultures
moving at the North Lookout plus a small number of other raptors mixed in.
After the lake breeze we moved to the South Lookout and had a few nice
looks, but overall the flight line was quite spread out with many migrants
passing further inland.
Highlights of the day included 465 Turkey Vultures, 20 harriers, 92
red-tails, a light-morph rough-leg, and two immature Golden Eagles.
