Weather: Heavy frost overnight. Moderately strong (8-12 mph) southerly winds and haze at horizon all day, but overall good visibility. Sun and clear blue sky. Raptor Observations: First Migrant: Turkey Vulture at 9:40 am. Fabulous view of Peregrine Falcon at 10:45 am as it swooped just over the bird feeder and eye-level with Hawk Watch Mound. No Local Raptors today and only a handful of local TVs. Non-raptor Observations: Most birds very quiet all day. Black-capped Chickadee, Eastern Phoebe, Blue Jay, Yellow-Rumped Warbler, American Robin, American Crow, Common Raven, Downy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Mourning Dove.
