Moderate NW wind. Fairly warm and pleasant. Count conducted from the South Lookout. Raptor Observations: A slow but steady flight that was mostly inland with smaller numbers overhead and a few along the lakeshore. Broad-winged Hawks (86) and Turkey Vultures (77) were most numerous. Thirteen Bald eagles, 8 red-tails, and an Osprey. Predictions: TOMORROW: Mostly sunny becoming cloudy with periods of rain late. Much warmer. High 76F. Winds SSE shifting SSW at 10-15mph. Great conditions overall. Southerly winds overnight should bring new arrivals and a strong morning flight. Good conditions for raptor migration though they may get high as the winds shift more southwesterly and spotting may be difficult when there aren't many clouds. Expect moderate to good migration. SUNDAY: Patchy fog early. Sunny with some cloudy intervals. High 67F. Winds W at 5-10mph. Probably South Lookout. Moderate conditions. MONDAY: Generally sunny. High 86F. Winds S at 10-15mph.
