I am appalled that our school board accepted the $4000 savings to
provide our children, especially elementary age, with milk that contains
bovine growth hormone! With such a controversial subject as the effects
of BGH on humans, I think the school administration should have notified
the parents at the beginning of school, not just leaving it to the newspapers
to announce to the community. I missed this controversy and have heard of
other parents who were unaware of it, also. Perhaps the schools should send
information about this, home with every student so people know this is
happening .
