[Winona Online Democracy]
In the City of Winona, 92 people served as Election judges on Tuesday. Most
of these people worked from 6:00 a.m. to about 10:00 p.m., a few even later.
If you know any of these people, thank them for assisting with a very busy
election. We couldn't conduct the elections without them.
Also, Paul's link below brings up the primary election. This one shows the
General Election results. It should be noted that these are unofficial
until each of the Canvassing Boards meet to certify the results. For the
City, this will be done by the City Council today. The numbers will change
slightly over what is shown on the Secretary of State's website, but not
enough to affect the outcome of any election. For those interested, I will
try to post the City's official returns on the City's website early next
week.

<< File: WinonaEl >> I second your comment. It was a long
but good day. Lots of people
registering to vote either as new voters or because of
relocation. I
believe many precincts were close to 85 percent turnout.
The new Secretary of State web site is also a big plus in
getting the
details and breakdowns. http://elections.sos.state.mn.us
