The MN Humanities Commission and the Learning Club of WSU are sponsoring
an
> intergenerational  forum with Gene  Pelowski's class, November 30 and
> December 1 on the topic of Politics and Money-- Who Owns Democracy?  While
> only members of the Learning Club will be participating in this forum, the
> materials might be available from the MN Humanities Commission and if we
> could find a community sponsor,  (WSU sponsors the Learning Club) I see
> possibilities of holding a community gathering around this issue.  I will
> contact the MN Humanities Commission to see what possibilities exist.  One
> other person in Winona attended the training with me last August in St.
> Paul.  I will check with that person also.  The League of Women Voters
might
> be a sponsor, but I will need to raise it to the members-- after I get
more
> info from the MN Humanities Commission.

> The materials are prepared by the Kettering Foundation and can be viewed
at

> approaches.  The dialogue goes to the heart of each of these  three
> choices., Reform the Campaign Fund-Raising System,  Rein in Lobbyists and
> Politicians, and Publicize All Political Donations, Don't Regulate Them.

> The Kettering Foundation exists to promote deliberative democracy and has
