I am very disappointed in the National Boy Scout decision. Everyone is
entitled to an opinion, and sexual preference should have no bearing on one's
ability to volunteer.
I am also disappointed to hear that the Unitarian badge was denied. I
thought that was one of the badges shown in the Cub Scout Book.
I won't allow my son to sell popcorn next year to support the National
Boy Scouts and I know that a lot of our last year's popcorn patrons wouldn't
buy it. There are many caring people in this community.
Ed Thompson,
What can we do locally to let the National group know that we
disapprove of their decisions?
