[Winona Online Democracy]

It seems to me that the presence of a few overpasses for the trains would 
make a huge difference in Winona, concerning how much people would actually 
"feel" the impact of more trains.  I have lived in Winona that last couple 
of years and have simply gotten used to waiting for the trains to pass, or 
trying to race them to the next intersection to get across in time.  
However, recently I have moved to Owatonna and commute to Winona to finish 
my education.  I never realized what a difference the overpasses can make.  
A few overpasses in the most critical of locations makes the presence of 
more trains barely even noticed, or at the least, much more bearable.  I 
don't know what the steps are that need to be taken to accomplish the 
building of the overpasses.  In light of the recent valid concerns Winona 
citizens have about the train industry, I thought this could be a suggestion 
in how to deal or cope with it.
