University of VA is located in Charlottesville, VA. candidates should be familiar with Charlotteville and able to commit to working on the campus site for long duration (12 mo+). This position involves working with a team to support messaging services. The engineer will be expected to: - be fluent in a scripting language and have experience administrating Linux machines which host messaging services such as mailing lists, mass email systems, IMAP services, etc. - Engineer should understand basics of how email systems work. - Engineer should be able to troubleshoot performance problems on production systems. Required / Desired Skills Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Communicate effectively email, phone and video. Required Lift 70+ lbs and install equipment into racks.
