Title: Pega Developer Location: Scranton, PA Length: Full Time Position
The position is in the Prudential Retirement Technology division. The team is responsible for managing the daily production support and enhancement requests for the Pega workflow application. This person will be responsible for working with the lead developer and other team members in an operational mode. Work items may include troubleshooting daily production issues, coding enhancements, providing administrative support and supporting strategic initiatives. Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and Data Processing management and staffs at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Works closely with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design. Performs analysis and system design. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions. Documents, tests, implements and provides on-going support for the applications. Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Acts as expert technical resource to development staffs in all phases of the development and implementation process. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. * Location: Scranton, PA (preferred) but can be in Woodbridge, NJ or Hartford, CT Overview: Candidates must have Pega PRPC 5.3 or higher experience. Java development also required. Prefer someone with Retirement Product experience.* The successful candidate will have 3-5 years industry experience preferably working with financial Retirement products. Technical acumen includes Pega PRPC 5.3 or higher. Additional technology experience needed is Java, SQL, HTML and Java Script. The ability to work both independently and in a team setting is important.
