*PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Responsible for installation and support of a variety of distributed, network, storage, and mainframe systems equipment, including configuration, asset, change and problem management processes. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Coordinate and perform installation of distributed, network, storage, and mainframe systems within the Data Center. (15%) Coordinate and perform changes to distributed, network, storage, and mainframe system configurations. (10%) Provide problem management services by utilizing diagnostic tools to aid in troubleshooting efforts including 24x7 rotating pager support. Assist in mainframe problem determination and isolation. Resolve problems by performing preliminary diagnostics and replacement of defective components. (20%) Establish and maintain configuration documentation and assist with general asset and inventory management processes. Assist in keeping Data Center hardware documentation current which includes power configuration records. (30%) Perform equipment and system testing. Test, label and install all infrastructure cabling required for distributed, network, storage, and mainframe hardware. Re-cable hardware as necessary due to configuration changes. (25%) RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS Participate on project initiatives as requested Facilitate and coordinate group processes and technology solutions, following established change/problem/inventory management systems. FINANCIAL RESONSIBILITY May provide input in the budget process REQUIREMENTS Education Two-year technical college degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience Knowledge and Skills Work independently and with others on tasks with some technical and management guidance Effective written and verbal communications Ability to learn new technologies with an interest in expanding and applying this knowledge as new ones emerge Autocad experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging team environment Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities Ability and willingness to support equipment crossing multiple platforms, including providing 24x7 pager coverage on a rotating basis General knowledge of TGTI supported products is preferred Previous Experience 5 — 7 Years of previous distributed, network, storage, and mainframe systems diagnostic and testing experience preferred * --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
