*Please send resumes with candidate contact number** **and bill rate ASAP.** **We will get back to you if your profile is a good match.* *Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning* Location: CT Duration: end of the year with possible extension Rate: $45/HR The position is accountable for application DR plans, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Work Group Recovery (Bus. & IT), DR functional and integrated testing, Command & Control activities and Emergency Management. Assists in supporting all of the above functions in a more limited capacity for CT as well. Responsibilities: Ø Accountable for overall development and management of the ITSCM Plan to ensure that, at all times, the recovery objectives of the business can be achieved. Ø Ensure that all IT Service areas are prepared and able to respond to an Invocation of the Continuity plans. Ø Ensure a comprehensive IT testing schedule is maintained Ø Undertake quality reviews of all procedures and ensure that these are incorporated into the testing schedule Ø Communicate and maintain awareness of ITSCM objectives within the business areas supported and IT Service areas Ø Undertake regular reviews, at least annually, of the Continuity plans with the business areas to ensure that they accurately reflect the Business processing Environment Ø Negotiate and manage contracts with providers of third party recovery services Manage the IT Service delivery during times of crisis including: Ø Co-ordination with the crisis control team Ø Invocation of the appropriate recovery facilities Ø Resource management, direction and arbitration Ø Recovery site management Miscellaneous Analytical Skills/ Problem Sol Yes 1 Miscellaneous Communication/Interpersonal Yes 1 Miscellaneous Testing Skills Yes 1 Specialties Application Development Yes 1 The Hartford Skills Negotiation Skills Yes 1 Additional Position Requirements: Must have developed and managed Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning for a large corporate environment.
