 Short Description:
The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development or
execution environment product or set of products. Primary responsibility is
to ensure availability and facilitate productive use of a product for
Application Teams or end users. Complete Description:
Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

 Role Description:


Demonstrate expertise in teaching / conveying technical and / or functional
courses / concepts.
Develop appropriate work programs / budgets and use to effectively schedule
tasks / assignments.
Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services
/ products.

JNET is in need of a .NET application Developer. This resource will be
utilized to work primarily on supporting the Juvenile Case Management System
(JCMS). This position will also allow us to maintain and make enhancements
to the WebEOC application, redesign and improve JNET's existing Learning
Management System (LMS), provide knowledge transfer to Commonwealth staff
and asses JNET's potential to incorporate .NET into our skills/product
matrix. This position is being requested to begin work on January 4, 2010
until June 30.


Candidates development qualifications:

Required Technical Experience:

NET 2.0+, VB.NET, VS.NET 2005+, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, T-SQL, SRSS

Preferred Technical Experience:

Experience with Visual Basic 6.0, Classic ASP and migration of these legacy
technologies to .NET

Technical Skills:

Experience in the creation and implementation of Enterprise solutions
utilizing ASP.NET and MS SQL Server through the use of:

• Dynamic Web Pages
• Dynamic Master Pages
• Dynamic Web Configuration
• Web Application Configuration
• Creating User Controls
• Creating and optimizing Stored Procedures
• Creating Custom Web server controls
• Creating Composite Web server controls
• Use of .NET Personalization Features
• Creating templated controls and interfaces to implement them
• ASP.NET Caching Techniques
• Asynchronous Processing in Web Applications
• Ability to use tracing and instrumentation to monitor and improve the
performance of a Web application
