Short Description:
This Product specialist is a high availability server administrator expert
for installation/tuning high availability implementations using servers with
differing hardware specs and configurations. Complete Description:
A primary responsibility is to research, install, document and mentor
internal staff
Must possess strong skills in installation of server software and
configuring settings for high availability, load balancing, interoperability
between multiple servers with multiple software products. Experience with
high availability installation with hardware of differing models and speeds.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Must provide writing samples such as Email paragraphs to something more
formal.
Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description:
Actively contribute as an expert or actual designer.
Develop project implementation plan and ensure project is on time and budet.
Create technical documentation to be used by staff for subsequent high
availability installations.
Ensure any anomalies in installation are clearly noted.
Mentor internal staff.
Effectively lead QA tests and create test scripts to ensure the environment
is functional.
Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work
and work of the Installation Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary.
Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer
objectives.
Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a
timely manner.
Identify and track issues, risks and action items.
Must be a team player.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
